By Road -  Head towards Croft Castle, approach from B4362, turning north at Cock Gate between Bircher and Mortimer's Cross; signposted from Ludlow to Leominster road (A49) and from A4110 at Mortimer's Cross

Once you have taken the turning at cock gate continue on up past the entrance to Croft Castle to a cattle grid. 

Go over the cattle grid turn imeadiatly right and then bear left follow along that track do not turn off, after about 500 yards you will see Highwood Farm (small pond to left), continue past heading down the track. 200 yards and you will see Oak Cottage (red brick). Please  park and we will greet you.

Please note Acorn Cottage is situated on National Trust Common Land and the track can be bumpy and please be aware of live stock.
